Issues with Software Update + Lag

How do I know that I’ve had the update done. Mine was in today for its service and it seems no different

Thats normal . the whole car gets the latest software as part of the service ( Except maps which can take an hour ) ...

are you talking about Polestar ? A few new features were added to that software recently ..

I've had my V90 (MY20) updated and the difference is very subtle in that the gearbox is switching between ratios more frequently. Because it is a MY20 the differences are not that big maybe it is the same for you as you have a 69 plate. Even the seatbelt sound on my original software was the same as the latest one ref post #37 on the thread below:

I have two threads running and in it I mention Engine Light/Lag issues. I got my car serviced which I had bought second hand recently and post service and software update the engine light has gone (hope it doesn’t come back) and the lag I felt earlier has improved (car felt nippy).... it might not be a lag at all and as I haven’t driven Volvo before and don’t know what to expect from a D5. My other car is a 2.5 V6.

I am going to wait and watch before thinking of doing anything about the advise the dealer has given I.e. replace the Turbo at £4K costs!!!! Got an extended warranty so if I do have to then hopefully that will cover it and I will shop around including Volvo independent specialists.

I just wondered, how you knew any new software was done. Is there a software version stated anywhere?

Nope. I was told my the technician that car was serviced and software updated. Took him for his word

Hi everyone i need advice i have a C30 & im loosing so much poweer one minuite im driving normal then it just looses power where im nearly at a standstill, i have pull off road turn car off a coouple mins then its ok until the next time ...does anyone know why? If its a update where do i go for update ? How much cost im in birmingham....thanks Dawn

I don't think this is a software update issue, unless you've very recently had a software update that you have good reason to believe may have triggered this problem?

You might get more informed responses to this problem if you post in a more relevant forum area, probably here... https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=58 and add a few more details about your car, such as age, engine type (e.g. D2), manual or auto, mileage, dash warning indications, etc.
