Default Taken the plunge and bought an XC60

Hi All,

So we've taken the plunge and bought an xc60, c.69k d5, lux nav, really happy so far with everything, this weekend we did a couple of hundred miles, and loved how quiet and comfy it was, and no complaining from the kids. Still getting used to the gadgets and menus etc.

I have noticed however a small couple of drips of what looks to be oil, or yellow liquid...... right at the front of the car... just dripping down behind the front bumper.... dont think its screen wash as its got some blue screen wash in there... its not smelly at all... but it feels like oil. Its right at the front?
Any ideas?

Not quite sure on the photos... but here goes

I'm guessing it may be engine coolant? It's a yellowy/green colour in mine, so check the colour against your coolant tank. But obviously there should be no leak.

Try to properly confirm the source of the leak, as you'll be in a better position to explain the problem when you take the car back.

A common problem on earlier cars is the plastic side tanks of the radiator are only crimped onto the core, the crimps come loose over time resulting in leaks, as you have just bought the car take it back to be investigated as it's quite an expensive job to do by a dealer. (replacement of the radiator)

Common fault - Leaky plastic radiator at lower drivers side corner. Phone the dealer and book it straight in. Great looking model.

You won't be disappointed, enjoy

Have a look at your coolant, if it is brown you may have the radiator issue, I had it on my car a few years ago. Volvo met me half way on the replacement cost, the car was just out of warranty. You always have to spend a few quid when you first buy a used car, if nothing but for your own peace of mind
