Default Egg box grilles

What is it with the Egg box grilles?

It seems that everybody wants one.Since I posted that I have purchased a chrome grille on ebay,I have had two offers from this forum for a free swap.

Personally I dont like the black plastic grille,that my Celebration Estate has been fitted with.I think and I hope that the chrome grille will look a lot softer.

There are many 940 owners that have a different opinion to yours and as such, the eggcrate grilles which are not as common, are in high demand.
I fitted an eggcrate grill from my last 945, but as it was grey in colour, I sprayed the plastic centre section in the car's body colour and combined it with the chrome rim from the original.
I find this looks better than the black centre of the celebration models (with my car's colour at least).

Plus you've got somewhere to put some of your eggs - so they're not all in one basket. (I know, I know, I MUST get some better jokes.)

Well done Loki. I like it!!

With the excellent suspension of the Celebration(just jocking) the eggs wouldnt get broken if stored there on the way home from Tesco!!*-

*Other supermarkets are available!!

Serious point though, the intercooler is under less thread from the chippings to be thrown up by the roadworks etc...

Yes, the chrome centre that you have bought is a metal casting, much heavier than the plastic eggdrate version.

The intercooler is behind the air-con radiator and remember you have an open grille under the bumper.

945 = 9 series, 4 cylinder engine, estate (5doors).
The saloon version is 944.
