Sound profing material
There is some excellent info in the Articles section about sound proofing and suitable materials. I followed some of that advice and have some leftover materials if anyone is interested.
The material came custom audio design so you can check out what I describe on their web site. FR12SA Fire Retardent Acoustic Foam (self adhesive) "This foam is totally non-flammable and is ideal for lining the bonnets of all vehicles. It is an excellent sound absorber and will protect other materials from a wide range of dangerous ignition sources. The material is black, soft, pliant, resilient and easy to fit. I have a sheet 1m x 0.95m which is worth over £15.00. SY50 (self adhesive) 1.22m wide roll - "A polymer-based, asphalt-free, high density synthetic soundproofing membrane, that offers good acoustic insulation in different building elements. I have used this on all vertical services where the original sound deadening panels were used but have covered a much larger area. Could also be used on the floor. I have about 2.5m left on the roll which is worth over £25.00. This is heavy stuff at 5kg/m2. The items would have to be collected from Sevenoaks Kent. |

Hello, As it is not possible for me to collect, distance too great. Can you let me know the suppliers details for the SY50. Alternatively if you might change your mind about courier it up here.
Thanks, Anthony |

Sy50
Thanks for the interest.
Take a look at http://www.customaudiodesigns.co.uk/...c-membrane.htm and the price list page where a roll of SY50 is £63.43 plus VAT and delivery. To post this part roll I estimate will be about £20. |
