Post Clutch Pedal feels notchy

I have an S-reg S40 and when Iam putting my foot down on the clutch pedal, it feels a bit notchy/creeky and also makes that creeky sound. The gears engage fine, its just this problem I have with the pedal. Has anyone else got or had the same problem and what can I do to make it right.
Thanks
Dave

Might be worth changing the clutch and brake fluid if it hasnt been done in a long time. This wont deffinately cure the squeak though.
