360 degree cameras not working on XC90 T6 2016
Hello,
I am new to this forum. I currently own a Volvo XC90 T6 of 2016. Currently I am experiencing problems with the WAM module, which is not working. My problem with the cameras showed up one day after sending the car in a car wash. I noticed that the front sensor was hanging down after taking the car from the car wash. I put the sensor in place but then I noticed that the cameras didn’t work. My XC90 has 4 cameras. I sent the car to a local dealer and they said me that I needed to change the packet which connects all cameras, smth with Wide Angle Module. I didn’t believe their solution would work, because it seems impossible that the packet would stop working in the exact same day when the sensor was removed from its place. So I decided not to change the WAM packet. Then after several weeks, the cameras started to work again for some days (imo this turns down their supposition with the packet not working). The same happened 3 days ago when the cameras started to work again. I am not a mechanic, but I think the problem with the cameras should be somehow related to the front bumper sensor. One other thing I noticed, is that the last time when the cameras worked, I opened the trunk and after closing it, cameras stopped working again. Not sure if problems may be related with the back camera. Has anyone ever experienced such problems? Can you give me some hints on what to check? Thanks a lot for any help! |
