Default Radio intermittently unresponsive

Hi,

I've got a 2011 2.0 DRIVe SE, with the Sensus 'Infotainment'. Occasionally, the radio part of the system just stops working - it hangs, or simply doesn't work - pressing the Radio button has no effect. All other Sensus functions work fine (media, Nav, phone) and respond to their button pushes. It tends to sort itself out once the ignition is switched off completely, and then restarted.

It sounds like a software problem to me. I assume there's no way of diagnosing this except via a dealer plugging their kit in to it, and possibly uploading new software?

Thoughts/comments/experience welcome.

Phillip

I had a similar problem with my '12 XC60. System would lock or black screen and only restart with ignition off/on.
Cured with a dealer software update and been fine since. Did satnav update at same time. Don't think we are the only people who have experienced this!

These cars now are ancient regarding software , many have not been looked at by a dealer for years so will have bugs in the software , an update is always the first move in such cases ..before further diagnostics .

which radio are the problems with , AM , FM , DAB ?
