Default correct distributor cap.

I've got an old stock Bosch distributor cap here, No.1235522053, info I've found on the Web will only say it is for a 164; someone has scribbled '164e' on the box. Are the caps the same for the carb and inj cars??

Its been a long time since I looked (or is it that I forget easily nowadays?) but as I have both models of 164 here will look under the bonnets when I get back lunchtime. Doubt if part numbers will be visible but from memory one is larger than the other.
Will advise later.

A quickie this wet lunchtime: I pulled the covers off my cars and took pics of both distributors (still in the cars). As I thought the injection car has a larger-diameter cap than the carb car. About 3 3/4" dia at where it is clipped on for the inj car, and about 2 1/2" dia on the carb car. Didn't get them off as short of lunch-hour and it was raining.... Eyeball work looking towards the rear: I took pics of both types too if it would help.
Send me a PM with email address if interested: if you have the wrong one for your car and you want to sell, remember me please....

Interesting. A look at the CVI site shows that the B30A carb cap looks to have a taller cap part compared to the B30 E/F one. This makes the "towers" for the leads appear taller than the ones on the carb version. Overall they are probably the same height if placed side by side.

Thanks gents, most appreciated all.
The one I have here is a genuine Bosch No. 1235522053, I've measured it and it's 3 1/2" diameter.
Paul, I've sent you a message if you'd like it.
Derek, thanks, I'll take a look at your site, need a rotor arm too.
