Question Tidal and B&W

Does anyone here have Tidal subscription and tried it on the B&W system?
I’m thinking of streaming it in the car, but not sure if it is possible to stream lossless (at full bitrate)?

Says it requires a stable 1.5-2.0 Mbps which is close to the minimum for streaming Netflix.
Have you run an app like Speedtest to see if you can even get near that speed out on road?
A piece of cake in built up areas but.....

About 90% of my commute I can stream Spotify at extreme quality without issues. This is mostly on 4G and some 5G.

I've done some research and Spotify extreme is at bitrate of 320kbps. This equates to about 0.32Mbps, so I reckon bandwidth should be ok.

I don't really have a chance to do a SpeedTest whilst driving, but have done once in a layby and the speed is about 15Mbps down.

I've signed up for Tidal HiFi trial and the sound quality paired to Sony 1000MX4 NC BT headphones is excellent! Pink Floyd is just ear candy.

I am just wondering if it's possible to stream Tidal in it's full glory to the excellent B&W setup.

I can’t say in its full glory for sure, but Tidal (Android) sounds better than anything else in my B&W system. Make sure your app settings are all set as maximum.

I have been using Tidal for years. It's so much better than Spotify. No issues streaming while driving, except some rural areas where the connection is bad even when not driving.

Make sure to use USB connection when using Tidal. Again much better than streaming over Bluetooth.

Wish there was Sirius XM in the UK. It works amazingly on all SPA Volvos. Zero lag (unlike with Spotify).

With road, wind and engine noise, lossless is no better than a compressed codec.

Only discovered Tidal recently after purchasing Sony 1000MX4 NC headphones.
The audio quality is sublime, feels like I am listening to CDs or better.

I believe over bluetooth we won't be able to get HiFi/Master quality, so I will try CarPlay over USB. However not sure if the Tidal app is available over CarPlay.

There is also an offline mode in the app, which I can download lossless tracks, so can try that in areas with bad reception.

Is this over Bluetooth?

There's Tidal app in Android Auto. This is what I use, works great.
