Hi I have a 2016 V70 SE Lux with the same problem and was wondering if anyone had a part number for the door lock springs or new the diameter or where I could get any?

Back tracking here but no, they're not the same. There's a couple of plastic levers and a cover plate that are slightly different thus you need to open up the guys of the lock unit, swap them over from the Volvo to the Ford item and put it back together again. Bit fiddly but doable. My last two locks came from a Mondeo (£10 in total) and I need to do a third now... the joys...

Does anyone know the part number or link to where I can buy a new door lock spring for my V70 2016 front passenger door.
Thanks |

Did anyone find a suitable replacement spring?
Mine has started to not lock properly all the time (I have to activate the remote about 4 times until it finally locks). I am thinking it may be the spring. |

Hi Guys, sorry for bringing this thread back to life. Looks like I'm getting the same issues with the lock.
Just wondering if someone could help me out with choosing the right motor. Would that be the correct one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/315291071666? |

I would also be quite interested as mine have also failed.

I would also be quite interested as my driver's door is failing...
I've never in my life had a car where the door locking mechanism has failed in this, or in a similar way (except where the lock barrel froze and cracked on an old Audi A4 years ago). This Volvo door lock issue seems to be quite a "feature"! Lol!

I would check that the motor previously posted is correct:~ The one in my post fits the 1997 Volvo V70 and probably others. The difference is that the two pin connections can be at the front or the rear-V70 are at the front- drive shafts can be ordered in different lengths (cut down if necessary) drive cogs can be heated & removed for reuse. Hope it helps. Bob. |
