ecu change
if i change my ecu from my 2.0 turbo to a t4 ecu will i bennifit anything or not as changed my boost setting but now retards at 4000k revs if i nail it still using the 12t turbo model is phase 1 1999 many thanks

i think that the ecu's are coded to each car so i'm not sure about swapping, use the forum search to more info

Your ecu is programmed to suit your car, it may be better having the car mapped for better performance/economy.

I don't think the ECU's can just be swopped from car to car, i think there coded,
I tried to find this out a while ago when i was thinking of replacing my blown 2.0t engine with a T4 lump, but couldn't find a definate answer

the ECU is coded to the car.
It is possible to get another ECU and get it coded to your car however it must be done through Volvo (although the ECU doesn't have to come from them) Best bet is to ring them or ring a reliable indy with Vadis and ask them |
