Default Spare tyre and jack set for C70

I recently had a blow out on the motorway after going through a pothole, it was only then I discovered i dont have a spare tyre or jack.

What are the correct tyre and jack combo to get?

Can you point me in the right direction to buy them?

Thanks in advance.

If this is the phase 2 C70, i.e. from 2006 onwards, then it does not come equipped with a spare wheel.

There is no space for nor any way to secure it in the trunk.

There should be an air compressor & a can of puncture repair in the trunk.
But this does not help with a blowout of course.

Only option is to call out a tyre company.

BTW, i believe that these wheels have a spacer on them so not sure if a replacement spare would fit without the spacer. But i could be wrong here.

There is an indentation in the boot where one should go and in the manual it mentions it as an option so I hoped to get myself one as I do quite a high mileage.

The compressor is there but next to useless i think.

It seems impossible to find somewhere to sell me this, there is a complete lack of interest from any Volvo dealership for instance.

If it is a 16" wheel, try e-bay Volvo 16" wheels - I saw one there a couple of days ago.

Out of interest, i placed a query to my dealer here in Ireland as it got me thinking about if this were to occur to me.

Here's what i got in response:

For this model, parts are separate.

SPARE WHEEL RIM € 50.09 inc vat
SPARE TYRE € 131.43 inc vat
JACK € 60.78 inc vat
Socket wrench € 22.14 inc vat
Bag, spare wheel € 216.95 inc vat

Also, see attached image.

Now, that's an expensive bag!
Although i did see some non-oem versions on the bay a few weeks back.

It was an optional extra. If it was not selected then the vehicle was equipped with a bottle of sealant and compressor

Although, i notice that more of the recent models seem to have it.
