Heated Rear Seats...retrofit?
My car does NOT have rear heated seats but I'm wondering if they were factory assembled with the heated elements and the associated wiring harnesses...do any of you have any info on this?

Hi, I am sure I have seen a thread on here saying they don't have the elements fitted. I bought one of them heat pads that go across the seat and plug into the 12v socket, not athestiicly pleasing but keeps the young ones in the back happy on cold mornings :-))

I don't think the seats have the heat pads in but I have removed my rear seats and the loom seems to be in place. Whether there is a connection for the controls in the centre console unit I do not know, I also expect it to need a software update from a dealer as well.

As far as I know, you don't have the heating elements in there, if you didn't order that option when purchasing the car new. The wiring may be on the floor, though. My wiring diagram has an error, so the page for the heated rear seat is missing.
It's not normally available as something you can get as an "after the fact" accessory. |
