D4 VEA, Volvo v60 boost hose issues
As the title suggests I’m experiencing some issues with boost hoses.
The cars been through three recently as I need to keep it on the road and I just can’t for the life of me figure out why I it keeps connecting/colliding/rubbing on the subframe of the car. I’ve already tried changing pretty much ALL the engine mounts (except one on the timing side of the engine. I will try and update the thread with photographs where it is connecting but for now I’ll add a diagram of the pipe in question. |

Hard to tell if subframe is bent, I doubt it is as I haven’t had any bumps in the car in the last 2 years of ownership and the issue only really crept recently. Original hose was Volvo and thereafter replaced with like for like from eBay.
Just received a replacement Gates hose so I can best assume this is probably what I should have been replacing it with for my V60. Maybe the noticeable shape difference is what is needed? My mistake? Maybe we’ll see when the hose is on the car |
