vida re-gen on full dpf filter required
Hi, is there anyone in the- Oldham or Manchester area or within a 40 mile radius who has vida and could perform a forced re-gen on my 2005 volvo D5 v70 with a soot filter full message, i have rectified the fault codes by replacing both the lambda sensor and exhaust temp sensor and tried giving it a good blast but seems like there's too much soot to do it's own regen. i have vida myself but it's been years since i used it and the licence has expired and it's a lot of messing about to get it up and going again as computer stuff isn't my forte.I can come to you and will of course pay whatever you think is fair no probs, for a faster response please ring or text me on - 07963 666638, cheers - Svet

Hi, panic over, i just joined amazon prime on a trial period and ordered the icarsoft 906 V2.0,- £126.00 which can do a forced re-gen, and in the meantime gives me chance to update the licence om my vida, cheers.

Just a quick update, i got the icarsoft 906 V 2.0 and was under the impression that you just plug it in and press a button and you sit stationary in the car on your drive and hey presto. not the case you've got to be up to temperature and driving at least 30mph,i started it with the thing jammed in the front cup holder, to see the temps it was showing, got on M62 for a blast and watched the dpf temp gradually rising but it stopped around 480 degrees and was dropping, so i thought it wasn't playing ball so i came off motorway after approx 15 miles, pulled over on lay by and started playing with the settings, eventually the engine revs went up on their own to just over 2000 rpm for about 15 mins and the dpf temp was showing around 586 degrees, anyway i shut it down but the soot filter light was still on, but as i set off i could feel the difference in power and once on the motorway it would pull like a horse again and not take it's time in climbing a gradient, and soot filter full message went off so happy days, moral of the story is as soon as you see a fault code regarding lambda or exh temp sensor fault change it sooner than later or the soot will build up to the point where the car is unable to do it's own re-gen
