Default Unknown connector found

Does anybody know what should be connected to this connector (or what is for)? just found this unplugged during air filter change, please note that this is left hand drive (EU model,S60 2,4D,P2)

If it's not got another end to fit it nearby it's just a higher spec model loom for an optional extra to power off, most cars get the same loom regardless of spec as it's cheaper to make one instead of making different variant's of the same loom.

If you want to check see if it goes back to the fuse box under the bonnet and will probably be as said above something to do with better spec headlights although where it is might suggest it's something to do with a gearbox that wasn't fitted to your car.

It’s definitely not for xenon headlights.
Mine has xenon and also the connectors
It’s for the accelerometer when you have 4c chassis I believe..

My guess: Some vehicles came with an air pump to heat the catalytic converter faster. upon start-up.
If there's no SAS valve against the firewall, there's no pump.
