Default Rattle behind speedo

Now then,

I have a number of little rattles making themselves known at the moment but this one has got to be the most annoying and seems to have got louder recently.

On anything other than perfectly smooth road surfaces (an extreme rarity in Britain I know!) there is a rattle/buzz coming from the speedo area. After much pressing down on the plastics on and around the speedo it seems like the noise may be coming from behind the speedo. So has anyone else had the same problem and found a solution? I'm guessing removing the speedo would be a fair job, especially seeing as I'm terrible at DIY/fixing things.

I've pushed down on the silver plastic surrounding the dials and the clear plastics on the LCD screen but this doesn't relieve the symptoms.

Considering whether to bother the dealer with this but as it's generally intermittent I'm not sure if it's worth it, plus there's every chance they may make it worse/introduce another rattle in an attempt to fix this one.

Shame really as the car is great but these rattles/buzzes are really letting it down and making a £30k car feel like half that!

EDIT: I've just noticed there is another thread on this from a few years ago, but still nothing obvious from that.

What year is your car? My 2015 had the loose dash screws causing a buzz for which there is a technical service bulletin to resolve. Took it in and they fixed it fine.

I have another one in my dash now though, the start/stop switch is vibrating (stops when you lift it slightly)

It's a 2015. Interesting might have to keep an eye on it then and potentially book it in. I've noticed though after some messing around the buzzing subsides while pressing very firmly on the centre dial (not the surrounding silver plastics) so was wondering if it was just the plastics? Might be worth booking in though to see if it's the problem you've described!

Took the car in a week or two ago and the dealers added some insulation to some of the trim and I believe had the door card off and did the same.

Today though, took the car for a run down to my brothers (about 30 miles) on A roads and the rattle didn't pop up on the way down this morning. Coming back, however it was back again unfortunately so still not fixed. I'm trying to pinpoint it a bit more but I'm convinced it's coming from the dash between the middle of the car and the near side A pillar. Also seems to be the same as before in that it's louder/more apparent when it's a bit warmer.

I'd like it sorting but I know that until I can pinpoint it myself it'll be difficult to get right.
