abs pump/modulator with tracs on pre 96 850
How do all. So i'm after some advice - I've got a leaking ABS valve block in my 95 850 t5, the problem i'm finding is that these pump/HCM assemblies with tracs are as rare as hen's teeth - can't find one for love nor money. Even the rebuild places don't seem to have the parts to rebuild the teves IV pump/block on these earlier models. there are a few of the three outlet without tracs on ebay, plus plenty of the post 96 with the integrated module on the bottom, so i was wondering if anyone had successfully swapped for a non tracs and deleted the tracs, or even swapped out for a later (post 96) whole assembly?
I sort of assume the latter might be a git because of a lack of ecu/abs ecm compatibility, but if anyone has any ideas, or miraculously has one of these kicking around, i'm all ears! thanks in advance |

Just an update on this, I thought i'd let people know, I swapped out the tracs assembly for a non-tracs pump and hydraulic modulator, keeping the original control module, and the abs is functioning great. Obviously no Traction control, but it's next to useless anyway so no great loss. the pipe routing isn't too different either, the line than runs from the extra outlet on the hydraulic block to the splitter is routed to the end of the pump in the non-tracs assembly, so i didn't need to make a new line as the replacement came with the splitter and line.
I did find a company (BBA Reman) who said they could remanufacture the original assembly, so I'll probably send the original off to them and see if they have any luck with it, then either swap it back or keep it as a spare. |
