Default 740 spec B200E head needed

Hi all, I'm hunting for one of these in good nick as a long term replacement for a badly corroded one that is having a temporary fix to keep it going until I get a replacement.

It's to fit a red block that is sound.

I am looking for one with no corrosion around the water channels if at all possible and in the price range £30-£50 + delivery.

For clarification, it's the injection model, with injectors through the head into the inlet ports about 2 -3 inches in.

Unless a forum member has one I think you'll be hard pushed to get one at that price. Thought I remembered seeing one on Ebay today and, yes, there is one for £75 or best offer, you could ask him if he's aware of it's history and make him an offer? You never know! Its £20 delivery

Have a 740 here that I am stripping has a good engine in it, but the head is still on it, at a push I could strip the engine.

Tim of Thomas, A friend is breakng a 2 litre injection 940. Would the head from that do? Youd need to come remove it though.

The cars done 180k odd but I believe is a good runner... ill have to check first though.

Hi there, Tim, no - I need a specific head - don't want to have to replace the entire injection system and the later models have a different head with injection into the manifold rather than through the head half-way down the ports like I currently have - that's what makes it difficult. Thanks for thinking of me though!

Dave, can you post a photo of the top from the inlet manifold side please so I can check out what it looks like? I should be able to ID if it's the right one from that - also please can you PM me what you want for it?

Still have my engine, and would be willing to split it, so could remove the head for you, the car has done 140000 miles, and runs perfectly, and is from a 89 model, with mechanical injection.
