Driver seat rear cover has come off - How to reattach?

Hi all,

Was hoovering the passenger seats and noticed a flapping piece of material at the bottom of the drivers seat. Upon closed inspection it's a cover that goes under the seat and seems to clip in place given the profile of the plastic strip yet for the life of me I can't even find the receptacle let alone get it to fit in!

If I feel the passenger seat it curves under and seems to fit into another plastic mating strip but the angle seems to make it impossible to ever get it back in and it seems like you can't get the correct angle or apply enough force as well.

Has anybody else had this issue and successfully repaired it?
