Well, the geartronic gearshifter will not be affected as this is made in Poland!

Well I was just talking to my dealer today, and he said that he didn't anticipate any delays to May deliveries, as the only part that is affected is a "component of a component" in the audio system which they should be able to find an alternative source for - something like that anyway.

He also mentioned that black and red paint had a pigment ingredient that was also sourced from Japan - make of that what you will!

It's been a long wait already and i'm running out of options to add on whilst waiting... :-)

Been there, done that.

I'm sure the whole long delay thing is just a conspiracy by Volvo and the dealers to tempt customers to order additional options while they're waiting. Or maybe I shouldn't be so cynical.

There's a major issue with mica used in certain paint colours. This compound is made in an affected factory in Japan and effects the industry world wide.

There are already reports of colour restrictions on the Ford F150 and other large volume manufacturers.

Over on the BMW motorbike forums guys are saying there are delays of a couple of months creeping in now, due to events in Japan.
