Smile Intro (newbie) and XC90 rattle resolved!

Hi everyone,

As this is my first post on this forum, I guess I should introduce myself first :-) I'm Andy and I live near Carlisle. I've just bought my first Volvo - an XC90 Active D5 Manual in White with no options (so, basic is as basic does then!!) - and, notwithstanding a couple of wee niggles, I really like it.

I just wanted to put up a quick post as I've found the cause of one of the few wee rattles I have on my car. A ra-ta-ta noise I thought was coming from the rear passenger door trim actually turned out to be the hard plastic plate/support fixed to the bottom section of the rear belt near the anchor point rattling off the plastic moulding under the seat squab. For now, I've wrapped a rag around it but I'm going to get my wife to make a little cloth sleeve to fit round it.

I hope this helps someone. Rattles are always going to happen on new cars - but they can drive you crazy until you find/sort them.

Cheers for now,

Andy
