b23e ignition unit

wanted for a 240 with b23e engine

electronic ignition unit.
I believe haynes manual calls it ignition system control unit.

It sits at the driversside/mounted to waterreservoir

These were available from volvo last year when i enquired £375 .

However they are extremely , very reliable ! I go back to the days when these were new in 1974 and have never heard of one failing ,Are you sure yours is faulty?

25 years ago i got one from a scrap yard to run a Chrysler ignition system . even today it is still running fine .

However if you need one i would think you would be able to replace it by one of the modern BOSCH units 1/10th its size , it just needs the wiring diagrams looking at .. Any Ignition system with an inductive pick up in the distributor should work .
