Default Help needed...please

I'm having problems with my beloved Volvo V70 classic 2000MY

It seems to be that when I'm at around 1500 rpm say in 3rd gear I get a slight surging .... its difficult to explain but its like as if its "hunting" / "misfire" once you put your foot down its fine, it tends to happen when its under load going up a slight incline...

The vehicle has a "white spot etm fitted..

Plugs are Denso.. which have done around 12000 miles... due to change them anyway...

The car runs fine for 90% of the time and Ive found the plugs to be ok and have had no issues before

Thanks in advance

Rgds

Lyndon

The spark plugs have to be suspects in this. We had a not-dissimilar problem with our S70, and the issues went away with new plugs, even though the old ones weren't that long in the tooth.

Another possibility is the need for a clean up of the throttle body.

The next things on the list would be the air and fuel filters.

I guess then you could start considering the expensive possibilities - coil packs, ETM etc etc, but I think I'd suggest addressing the cheap and easy basic first.

Cheers
