You should be able to get it out by using a hair dryer around the edges of the seal and using a flat head to pry it open. Make sure you either use a sealant to fix it back or rewarm what is there and then fit it back.

Just disconnect the wire socket by pressing the tab and wiggling it, then remove the shiny metal peg (looks like a tent peg and the back of the light) and you should then be able to remove the light. |

It should be said oh F*****G dear lol...
I've tried wiggling the headlamp about, but the damn thing does not want to come out. I even tried disconnecting the black wire socket to remove it, but no joy. I will try to disconnect the wire socket tomorrow again, and hope the flippin socket pop's out. It feels someone tried using super glue and sealed the socket connector for good. The light cluster kinda moves to the side then forwards. Sometimes in takes a little wiggling but it will come eventually! On the wire socket (at the bottom I think) there is a little tab to push that releases a retaining clip and will allow you to remove the wires with relative ease.
Good luck! |

So I didn't get the car back yesterday as had an accident and have fractured my elbow! Anyway got the car today and ask my mechanic to swap them over, hey presto they work and look excellent, nice and modern.
Let me know if you want the link for them Under £5 with free delivery on Amazon, next stop side lights followed by the interiors. Thanks for the help and advice. |

I had another go at it today, and guess what......! I can't seem to find the led bulb anywhere. I tried shaking the headlamp so the bulb can come out but no joy. i think it is stuck somewhere for good, i cannot visually see the bulb.
Looks like i will have to order another set! |

I found a few led bulbs lying around, going to fit them on the number plate tonigt.
If they still work I will send a few pics. Last edited by Zeb246; Dec 12th, 2012 at 17:27. |
