Default Bolt size (SU HS6) ???

Has anyone gone to the trouble to replace the small hex bolt, nut and washer that hold the cable clamp on the choke cable for an 2-bolt SU carb? I have a couple of clamps but am missing some of the bolts. I took one out and took it to the special bolt store. It's like it's a #6-38TPI. #6 is normally either 32 TPI or 40 TPI.

I really don't think it would be metric.

Any one figured this out or am I splitting hair too much???

Thanks
Chris

What about a BA thread. a 4 BA has a pitch of 38.5 per inch

This site is quite useful.

You could just ask southern carburettors they make em and will have spares or any mini parts supplier will be able to get you some.
