Fluttery rattle sound when pulling away
As title really, When you pull away from rest, accelerate from roundabouts, etc, I can hear a faint fluttery rattly sound. The car is a 2013 D5, it's had all belts and tensioners done at Volvo in Newbury this time last year, it was doing this before anyway and nothing was mentioned when they also serviced it last October.
It doesn't do it when at idle, or revving it on the driveway. I'm a bit flummoxed if I'm honest! |

Check that the output flange from the transfer box isn't fouling the heat shield on the steering rack (the output flange is what the rear propshaft bolts up to).
When accelerating, the engine wants to flip backwards due to the equal and opposite reaction to the torque it is exerting onto the wheels and if the engine mounts are worn the above two can come into contact making a fluttery (but metallic) noise. If that is the case, you likely need new front & rear engine mounts.
