Mobile Fitting of Caravan Tyres

Hi all.
The time came to replace the tyres on our caravan, last time we used Tyres on the Drive now part of Halfords. Our caravan service chap recommended a local tyre company who do mobile fitting so gave them a call with tyre details and were fitted the following day.

I have no affiliation with this company but if you live in north Warwickshire and need mobile fitting of caravan tyres they are called Mid-Fit and based in Atherstone.

Out of interest which tyres did you fit? I need to do mine soon so any advice would be helpful.

I went for Rotalla VS450 in the end, 4 off 175/65/14C 90/88 fitted with balancing etc for £288.

Hankook and conti's would have been around £450 and still required changing in 5-6 years with loads of tread left.

The previous set were Falken Van01's which transformed the towing stability over the original Ovation tyres but struggled to find mobile fitting for the size required.

Tread was still at 6mm on the falkens but sidewall cracking had started and they were 6 years old.

Off on a long run to cornwall next week so will give some feed back.

We are off on Wednesday to a CL near Launceston for 4 weeks, must remember to re-torque the wheel nuts at strensham services! Only 5 more get ups..
