Smile Aircon

Hi folks, just a quick question regarding the aircon system of my car, a 2003 V70 140 se auto. The compressor makes rather a lot of noise, doesn't disengage and aircon hardly works. Now I have tried to turn the the compressor by hand with the engine off, naturally, and it feels quite stiff and difficult to turn, is that normal?? Also, if I need to change the compressor, then are the seals etc. available? And if so, where can I get them from?
Thanks, Rob (tulip0852)

Hello, Assuming you slackened the belt, the compressor should turn by hand. Every rebuilt compressor I ever bought came with the gaskets. How many miles were on your car when this happened? Kira
