Default D5 injectors - recondition or new?

I'm hearing from various places that d5 injectors cannot be reconditioned, where others say, they can.

Can anyone clarify if these can be reconditioned? Or do I need to make a sacrifice of some body part to replace them?

Why new? Those are quite simple injectors Bosch. Just you need some Bosch service. If I remember good, when I sended to be tested, price was like 30-90 euro, depends what needed to be done. One needed to be adjusted and that was that.

I would go for Bosch service. You get some X miles waranty. I use diesel system cleaner from Liqui Moly or Ravenol from time to time, let's say 3-4k km.

I forgot, google it, and find your numbers on injectors. First number will say to you if they needed to be coded after being recondition. Mine was with number which do not request coding after recondition.

and please, mark positions of every injectors. Not with some paint marker, but do some I II III IV V scretch with something sharp.

I will not mention new washers.

And no, you dont need new diesel lines, although Volvo says yes.
And please dont be my ex mech: thight good those fuel lines. Dont let something leak. IF you need torque specs, let me know, I can start VIDA for you.

Those are of course not with O-rings, but conus (metal on metal).

Priming fuel is a must. Let ignition ON and OFF like 20 times before starting car.

good luck.

I've replaced the swirl flaps in the past, thank you for the pointers. I did keep the injectors correct to the cylinders last time. I don't think I will ever replace the hard lines! I have a bulk bag of injector seals, so I doubt I will run out either.
I'll look into a bosch service, I think all of my injectors are class 3. Either that or it's my dad's euro 3 were class 3.

My ex mech removed lines because injectors and car showed like 14-15L per 100km or 15-16 mpg on your language. Then I saw diesel around injectors. And he didn't tihht on line properly. Idiot

Second time diesel lines were removed by cleaning intake manifold. All good until now of course.
