Got a sort of 'scalpings' gravel driveway here. I position my ramps and blocks of wood as ' extenders' to lift the skirt before it hits the ramp. I also hammer 6" nails through a hole in the each ramp into the gravel to stop them sliding away

Well that was fun!
I just changed the oil and the filter. That was my first time changing them and jacking my car up by myself so i took my sweet time but i rather do it slowly and properly than do it again next week. I ended up jacking one side at a time. First i tried from the middle but it just didn't seem safe enough.
Thanks everyone for your input! Such a nice community on these forums.

For future reference what are the best places to jack up rear of these volvos? Also recommended jack stand positions? Pictures would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Glad it went ok :-)

Its rewarding to know the job was done well and carefully. Also saved a fair bit of cash for other Volvo parts or toys.
