I see it is now advertised for £10,000 - a year on and a grand cheaper so perhaps the market isn't quite as firm as some folk believe?

An interesting thought, Alan; I wonder if my V70, for which I paid £550 five years ago, might even prove to be an appreciating asset as it ages and fewer examples remain.

We did once own an early 244 - I think it was first registered on February 1st., 1975 (HCH 722 N). It still appears on the government web site, but there would seem to have been no changes since January, 1989. I wonder if anyone might know anything about our car's fate? We paid £1050 for it in 1984 with 59,000 miles, and sold it in 1988 with 87,000 for £200.

Regards, John.
