Jensen P1800 seat belt holder
I've got a nice 'squished tophat' type seatbelt holder on the drivers side of my car. The passanger side has a boring U hook setup.
I'm looking for another tophat type to suit. I'll try to get a photo up so you know what I'm talking about. Thanks |

Its a 1963. I should try to get a better photo up I suppose. I have to take a photo with my phone, email it to my work account, post it from there. You dont seem to be able to post photos directly from my phone and I never get a chance to use my computer at home (new(ish) baby and lack of sleep).
Anyway, here is the blowup from page 103 of the service manual (P1800_2.pdf) from www.volvo1800pictures.com Its part 18 that I dont have (part 21 that I do if anyone is interested) Thanks Last edited by asneddon; Jun 9th, 2009 at 06:23. Reason: Got the URL wrong |

Thanks, but they look like parts 22 and 21 erspectively from the diagram above. Its part 18 that I need. Its a bit of an odd one in that its metal rather than plastic, and its got a positive clamp from the spring loaded release lever on the seatbelt itself holing it in place. The two plastic ones rely on gravity (I assume) to hold the belt up.
Its just one of those things I would like to get right. Not a critical peice of the car. |

I ended up dragging home a rusted out Jensen last week. I think there is one of those specific hangers in there. I will look tonight.
Drop me a note off list for me to be able to send you some photos. Thanks Chris agent_strangelove@hotmail.com |

Thanks Chris. Arrived today. Stupid Royal Mail Strike!
Its interesting that its plastic. The one on the drivers side is metal. I wonder if they were different for the UK and USA markets, or if mine has had a very good replacement made at some stage in its life. Either way, Im happy! |

Never heard of a metal one. Interested to see if anyone else chimes in as to their's being metal. I have several of them at the moment and all are the same black plastic.
