I like cars as much as the next man, but the danger, pollution, and congestion for which they are responsible make a densely populated urban area about the last place any able bodied person should be driving a car. It's a combination of laziness, entitlement and intertia that keeps people doing so.

Boris handed TFL over to his replacement with a £9 billion debt. But yes blame Sadiq Khan.
The conservatives over the past decade plus running the country got rid of 20,000 police officers. But yes blame Sadiq Khan when crime goes up… As for getting triggered about cycle lanes. I can’t help you you need to see a professional about that anger issue.

London traffic from where I’m sitting is as bad as it’s always been (ie Bad).
Fact is you have over 9,000 people dying prematurely each year in London due to air pollution and emissions. So the bigger picture (which I know you’ll find hard to hear doesn’t include you) is of course to reduce congestion and instead improve access to those cycling (none of the central-ish London residents I know have a car in any case). Anyway: https://www.imperial.ac.uk/news/2190...rhighways/amp/ “No evidence that London’s Cycle Superhighways worsen traffic congestion A new analysis finds special London cycle lanes, which aim to boost commuting by bicycle, do not negatively impact traffic speed. The analysis is one of the first to assess the impact of Cycle Superhighways (CSs) on traffic congestion in London.“

I'm not up to speed with the congestion issues in London but one thing Sadiq Khan has done which I find ridiculous and very much a "bash at boris" stunt was he scrapped the water canons that Boris acquired after the 2011 riots for a peanuts amount of money. They would have been the most effective way of controlling order in the recent BLM and other disturbances and stinky rebellion bother.
That was idiotic.

Given Boris bought them, and he was now the PM, I can't imagine a license wouldn't have been granted in new world. They were being stored free of charge and being used for training of the NI Police when they were scrapped - it was a Boris Bashing stunt that cost the rate payers and TFL users over £300k. For me it's not about whether you have socialist or conservative views, many of Sadiq's decisions are clearly based on point scoring politics and posturing and not the best interests of London residents and workers. I nearly vomit when I hear the radio adverts that end in "To the mayor of London and TFL...." he's just on a big ego trip, I expect one day he will be running for leader of the Labour party. So yes, for the reasons explained above, I firmly blame Sadiq Khan.

Claiming that Boris as PM would have unilaterally unbanned them (taking away the license to use is akin to a ban I’m afraid) is pure speculation. Khan was attacked by the Boris-supporting right wing for not selling the ‘useless’ water cannons up until the point he had actually done so! But yes. Let’s blame Sadiq Khan.
