Default Clicking clutch pedal

As per the noise in the video my clutch pedal clicks every time it's pressed down and released. Had a look under there but there are many connections where the click could be coming from.

Has anyone dealt with this as I don't want to be covering every joint in oil as it will most likely end up on the carpet... Click

Years and years ago my 1986 740 did this, and then the clutch return spring broke, leaving me stranded late one night on the A1 in the rain.

I've no idea if the 850 has a similar set-up, but it has to be worth checking out.

I don't think I've owned a manual car since!

Cheers

Jack

I disconnected the return spring from the pedal and the noise was still there so I disconnected the master cylinder from the pedal and the noise stopped, so have to assume it's something to do with that...
