Repairing rips in front seats
My PV544 1963 (red interior) front seats have a couple of vertical rips in the fabric uprights. (I've added an image to my Album, in case someone has an idea how I could repair it)
Does anyone know if I could lay my hands on some of the same style (red weave tweed with slight brown flec.) fabric? The back seat is perfect and so I'd really like to try and keep the interior as original looking as possible? Alternatively, does anyone have a pair of Red front seats without rips? Thanks V Much - I'm sorted....
I'm sorted thanks......
I came across John Crossskey's postings and he's put me in touch with VP Autoparts in Sweden and they are producing seat covers in the original cloth style. They're 'well' priced (for Sweden) if you know what I mean!!! but at least they'll be good for years to come, rahter than replacing old ripped seats with more old seats that rip... Cheers, Ste P. |
