Default M41 service question

been following along but haven't posted much so I thought I'd list a couple:

On the bottom of my M41 tranny on my 67 220 is a square box housing two round "disks/plugs" that I know are to be removed to drain the fluid and service the unit. Is there a spanner type tool to remove those plugs as they are too tight; or maybe someone knows the distance and size of holes so I can have a tool made?

I understand the bilstein and Koni's are the shocks to run on stock springs but what if your stock springs have 50 years of sag, does it damage the kyb shocks in there or are they just not very effective?

If I have a bit of "slap" or play in something when I don't shift smoothly or I put it in reverse; is that an issue of the rear differential needing attention? I have had all u-joints replaced and suspension appears good. Is a rebuild to the rear differential something most 4 x 4 and heavy equipment mechanic shops able to handle? Is that also the time to change gearing? My 67 220 seems to be fine the way its geared but has anyone discovered a better option; lower, higher, etc.?

Thanks

Mark
