Not as far as I know but you should be able to take them out.
That's what I did in mine, you then have a useful additional storage bin.

I've never changed cup holders in the console but if they're like the other components you have to lift the console up to get to the fixings. It's not too bad a job and there are plenty of videos on Youtube showing where the fixings are etc.

On mine you don't need to unbolt anything, just a quick hard tug and they pull out

It does leave you with a little compartment but there are holes where the clips go in which looks a bit naff so you'd want to make something to put in there..

I use cups all the time and think they look fine so I just left them alone

Quick afterthought if you mean the rubber surround bits are all cracked and looking very tired you can pull the unit out as I said, then take it apart and the rubber comes out, it wouldn't be very difficult to get a bit of rubber and cut it to the right shape or maybe just find a replacement that isn't so bad.

Mine has one small split in it and it isn't terrible but being a bit of a perfectionist it is on my to do list

I liked the design of that, but it was just too high up and a bit out of reach to be useful, maybe for the passenger side, but having 3 in the front seemed a bit unnecessary so I wasn't too fussed when I lost it installing a new head unit, touchscreen / sat nav etc was more useful to me

Plus being high up and nearly over the front axle, you go over speed bumps and you cup wobbles about, whereas lower down and nearer the middle of the car is more sturdy...

I tend to take normal cups of tea with me, I suppose really I should just get one with a lid

It is cool though the way it works I will admit

entire centre console going cheap, if you wanted to mess about with it and make it more to your liking - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203659219...QAAOSwVoNhbFaJ

needs a bit of touching up but the price is sensible

or there's the ashtray / square box insert option - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255008682....c101113.m2108
