Default Multicolour theatre lights

Have the multi colour theatre lights been removed from facelift version XC60 Rdesign Pro? I actually really liked this feature on my S90, but it seems to be missing from the latest price list but it was included on the edition 3 price list which I ordered from?

Ask your dealer to print a build sheet. Based on your VIN, this will tell you if your car comes with it. When you order a car, the price list at the time of order should be the spec you get. However, there is always "the manufacturer reserves the right to make changes at any time" in the small print...

Thanks griffin447.
I’ll check. I love the ‘manufacturer reserves the right’ bit, do I have the right to decide I want to pay less, if it doesn’t have it? Lol

You can hardly notice them, I've tried changing the colours and if I wasn't looking for them I'd miss them, understated is one thing but they are close to pointless!!

I have these in my 17 plate. I agree that they’re so small and so sim that they’re basically useless.

You wont find these on the build sheet anymore however while the lights are there the software isnt capable of supporting them!

They are nothing like the ambient lighting in other marques. They were the biggest disappointment for me when I found out what they were.
I would guess that Volvo now realise that they are outdated and don't meet the expectation of customers. That expectation has changed since the wider availabilty of led ambient lighting in many other marques; some in basic models as well.

I can't believe people would want to pay for these and Volvo had the nerve to charge for them! You can have a compromise between 70's disco and this rubbish Volvo produce.

I'll go against the grain and say I like them

My car came with them - probably wouldn't have paid extra for them. But the subtlety of them is their strength IMO.

We have ours set to purple in a car with the blond interior and darker gloss wood (that I believe is no longer available). Makes for a pleasant place to be at night IMO.

As a counter example, every time I see a press shot of Mercedes cars with the bright blue lighting it makes me think of a low rent nightclub (helped along by the silver speaker grilles and other trim).
