V50 2011 1.6d stop start ( non start )
Hi everyone . Purchased this as a non start from a dealer after they where locked down.
Jus stated that the car wouldn't start . It did run and I'm sure of that as the old pictures he had shows car idling at 1000 rpm . Iv never been beaten but today is the day .I have great experience with cars and electrics . Crank and cam sensors fine . New battery . No wiring corrosion or damage . Car turns fine . A blast of easy start fires up instantly . Piezo injectors fine nothing shorting. had ECU and ECM cloned but same issue . The (I) light is on and engine check light . Ignition switch replaced as well. I am using vident 720 pro . The only vault code pending is air intake temp sensor circuit high . I have ordered a new one but let's face it that won't stop it starting . The problem I believe is the fact their is no voltage to the injectors Nothing at all iether static or cranking . Your words of wisdom would be great full. Has anyone had experience of this . I do have another car so I'm not in any rush but this one has stumped me . Thank you anybody in advance The car is absolutely mint and to good to scrap |

Obvious basic stuff in these old bangers but worth mentioning for others potentially because generally the symptoms make no sense at all. Have you disconnected the battery and left it overnight then try again? Pull the cem and everything in it and scrape n clean up the contacts (often just pulling plugs n fuses sorts whatever the silly problems are) Pay special attention to fuse 36 next to battery (pedal sensor) If you take this out n try to start will will try but stop instantly. Then put cleaned fuse back in. This may even trigger something in the cars psychopathic brain/s.
Good luck and keep us posted either way its always good to know results. |
