I did email the owner about the wrong category in eBay and mentioned the wheels, he said it had Nebula's on but hated the ride so switched to 17" Tethys for more comfort....and has switched them to his new Volvo, hence the naff 16's on it.

They must be really close to the calipers.

Those are poor external photographs for a car being advertised at that kind of price. Yes it's low miles but presentation is everything when trying to attract interest. Those pictures make it look like a boggo D5 where the owner just rolled in from work and took a couple of snaps.

Need to take your car to a open location and take the very best angles of the car that backup the high price point.

Your right about the pictures, they give it a un-loved look...paticularly with the 16" diesel taxi look to them.

He'll also struggle to sell it as he's listed the car as a gearbox. Anyone searching Volvo S60 T5 will not get the car appearing in their results...and it's at least £800 too much, plus another £200 off for the wrong wheels.

Frankly no he didnt. But I dont see why he would? If you dont ask you dont get.

Also if I did buy this car I'd just want the engine and I'd scrap the rest

Have you tried asking on the T5 owners facebook page? I was fortunate enough to find a working HU850 on there from a very decent chap.

I have asked on the forum and I'm not getting any response unfortunately. I've gone on to 24/7 part finder and I am getting quote over 2k for a engine!!! A bare engine!

So I thought It would be better to get a complete car and rip the engine out

You're not going to want to hear this, but an 03 (or 04) v70 t5 with 92k mi went for £1500 on ebay yesterday. Climbed from £800 in the last ten minutes.
