Default Fuel filter change

I want to change the fuel filter on my 2013 v40 D4, I've done the oil etc. but was told it is very important to do the fuel filter as well. I've never changed one before so any instruction would be gratefully received including where its located.

Cheers in advance

Just above rear axle will need a filter strap as its a plastic housing just change the element clean it out new seal and tighten back up leave ignition on for a minute to self prime unless you have access to a vida you can activate the pump to bleed it. It may take a few times to bleed through but it will be fine hope this helps

Ford sold Volvo in 2010.

Is it a 1.6 or 2 litre D2.

I big thanks for that info t4owner, my cousin says its one of the most important things to clean on a diesel as it helps keep the injectors in good condition. This is my first Diesel so all new to me.
It is the priming process that bothered me as i don't want to cause myself other issues if i get it wrong.
