V40 - headlamp wiper seized
With a perfect sense of timing, now that the roads are throwing up lots of salt and other muck onto car headlights, the wiper on the nearside headlight on my 2004 Volvo V40 SE 1.9D has stuck in the upright position. Its partner on the offside headlight is still working.
Any suggestions as to the 'pecking order' of possible faults/fixes I could try before taking it to the garage? Thanks Tim

Common fault, fix is to yank the wiper back level then disconnect them both from loom on right side near the horn
No more proper answers tonight only daft ones.

Thanks - the problem must have been spray shorting something out - next time I drove the problem had fixed itself!
