Cleaning the sun-visor
Hi all,
I replaced the headliner due to sagging and with the spanking clean and new headliner the sun-visors looked dirty and old. I tried cleaning but ended up making it more dirty. I asked an upholstery shop if they could change the fabric but said they couldn't as the visor's base is made of foam and their adhesive would melt it. Have anyone successfully cleaned their sun-visor? And another thing, I tried but couldn't find the sun-visor part in VIDA. Can anyone help point me in which section it is? Thanks!

Try baby wet-wipes, or any alcohol based wipes.

Magic sponge?
A few years ago I was given some autoglym professional cleaning pads, they are basically those white magic cleaning sponges that are available in all the cheap shops.
Just lightly moisten them with water and work them lightly in circles on the fabric/plastic. They loosen and lift the dirt. Worked great on my old S60 with light interior.

earosol spray carpet/fabric cleaner
Tray an earosol "spray on" foam carpet/fabric cleaner, these spray a layer of foam that you leave to dry and brush off, there are really good cheap sprays in the likes of home bargain shop or even poundland, I have used them in the house with very good results on soft furnature and carpets. You can rub the foam in for bad stains.

Thanks everyone but all the tips didn't work. Water made the fabric brownish. So did baby wipes and alcohol swabs.
Finally tried something stronger, carpet foam cleaner as suggested. It was a 3M cleaner so I was feeling pretty confident it'll work so took pics before the cleaning. This was the spot I tried before this with water and wipes. Foam on. Followed the instructions. Finally, disappointment ... Now the pics after cleaning were taken in another room so the color looks different but honestly the area applied with the cleaner didn't look any better.

Try a microfibre cloth soaked then lightly wrung out in hot soapy water made with Fairy Liquid.
I got dried Coca-Cola out of my cream headlining using this method. It's great for cleaning all the interior actually.

I'd be tempted to look round for a tidier pair from a breaker.

I agree, that seems to be my best option. After the foam cleaning and soaking the visor is not flat anymore.
