Fuel pumps
Can anyone help after some advice regarding fuel pump,I have rescued a beautiful one owner from new 240 saloon the car has been garaged for the last 15 years but is immaculate but I do however have a problem as I want to get her running but the pump doesn't want to play....I have checked the fuses inside the car passenger footwell they all seem fine, having read a bit about the fuel pumps the relays cause a problem on these 240's so having located it have changed that however Iv replaced a white one with a green one and still nothing I guess next is to check the relays themselves or do the part numbers have to match?? so was just after a bit of help has anyone else had similar problems and can point me in right direction

you can test the pump by using a jumper cable to power the pump circuit from a live feed on the fuse board.
use a white relay

+1 what Suterman said. I don't think the relays are interchangeable.
