Default new purchase

This arrived last week. At least one forum member knows about it already as I rang him for advice before the auction ended. Thanks Paul, turned out to be a good buy in the end.

Just got to decide what to do with it now! Rides a little higher than my current car

The sensible, and probably only viable, option is to break it up and keep the parts till I need them. If I had a garage I would be seriously considering building it up! (before anyone points out the garage in the picture, that's only half a garage. I could build a smart car up in there, or a motorbike, but not much else.)

I thought I was only buying a shell, but there are 4 boxes of spares inside too...

result!

Cracking result with all the spares then!

Keep us up to date with what you decide - I'd love to see it restored, but can understand the need for the spares it can provide.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

Looks like a good buy, has all the bodywork been done? if so you should get it sprayed and and swop all your good bits onto it.
Ive got an embty garage in wokingham that i was going to hand back to the council, but if you need it let know, rent is £29 a month

Bodywork has all been done, but it was done in 2001 by a bloke, not a company, so I have no idea what it is like under the primer. I think if I was going to build it up I'd have to get the primer stripped off to make sure it was all good underneath. Second problem is that I have no spare time and no car knowledge! I'd love to have a big project and build it up, but I just don't have the time. I'd have to pay someone to do it, and that means big bucks...

I think if I did build it up I'd start from scratch rather than just transfer the bits over. A proper project! Hmmmm, which engine would I put in....
