Software update on hardware?

What do they want to install via computer? A new tooth pattern on the hub?

Remove airbag, remove centre screw, remove steering wheel - done

BUT don't touch the airbag if you've got no idea what you're doing. You can easily kill yourself whilst doing it!

Before you do anything you should disconect the battery althought I don't bother any more when I'm changing the steering wheel. Then remove the air bag and be carfull when removing the conector as they are a little delicate. Remove the centre hub nut but make sure you centre your wheel first so when you put the new wheel on you will put it on straight and not have it off centre when your driving. New wheel on then conect your airbag and put it back on. Reconect your battery and then spend the next few minutes resetting your radio stations and so on.

I don't disconect the battery myself anymore and have never had a problem and I change the wheel 20-30 times a year. However I hold no blame if you take your head off while doing it.

As for the software update, tell you dealer to look at this site and all the people laughing at him. I take it that your going for the R-design wheel.
