Default Finally resolved and running again!!

Turned out to also be four injectors at fault!!

Replaced and primed and running again :-)

Also changed glow plugs and cleaned out EGR.
Repaired leaking sunroof drains whilst windscreen was being replaced as they were the root cause of major leak in passenger footwell.

Hope it lasts a while this time!

Default Further Help Needed Please.

Further to the update of getting the car going it does now seem that the injectors have not resolved things 😬

I'd been driving the car after all the work for a few weeks and given it a few treats too, Filter/Mats/Door Seals/Springs/Remap etc etc

After not driving it for two days I started it on the Saturday morning and when pulled forward it cut out, eventually started again and reversed into space where I revved it through ok but then it died after short tick-over. It has since refused to start.

It has been primed properly, replaced fuel pipe from filter to high pressure fuel pump, I even setup a gravity feed at the weekend and primed to the point I could hear the fuel tank gurgle which I presume is fuel returning to tank but still no start. The rail is only getting to about 600 when cranking and I think this needs to be 1500/2000

Does anyone have any other pointers?

I found an archive of so many having similar issues but how do I reply to that thread?
https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/archi.../t-213590.html

I did also find the notorious hairline crack in the filter housing which may explain the problem after being left a few days and not starting. I have plastic welded this for the moment. Also when trying to start I did bypass the housing by joining the two pipes together.

This car is killing me!!

Nice fresh tank of go go juice filled a few days before. Previous tank had been in there for 8 months. Could that have upset the new injectors? All looks clean when pumped into a bottle.

True but that fuel ran through ok and since then its had another £60 run through then another £60 in and has been driving really well. The remap hasn't achieved the power is should and boost is dropping off but I figure that may be another issue. Smoke tested and all looks to be ok.
Can they really be this hard to prime? It should start but I see so many threads all over the internet with same issues.
Do fuel pressure regulators go bad without tripping the EML? Can they be intermittent? Is there even another problem 😬
