Default No polestar Optimisation for V60 T6

Just spotted a thread about the guys in Carlisle offering discounts on polestar optimisation. Thought I'd check it out, but seems like I missed the boat. However, curiousity got the better of me , and I checked out the polestar web page to see what improvements were being offered....
Appears like its none as the T6 Phev is not listed for optimisation .... shame that, but does it mean that the V60 T6Phev is already fully optimised???? Nah can't believe that, has to be another reason...

Cheers Bob

As the drivetrain in the T6 is basically identical to the T8 Recharge just with a lower ICE output, I'm sure Volvo don't want a £700 software optimisation (or lower when good offers are on) to close the power gap between the T6 and T8 and stop people buying the T8 and spending more in the process.

I am surprised that Polestar optimisation isn't offered as just the gearbox optimisation (with no power increase) as is offered currently for the T8 Extended Range variants.

I would agree with your sentiments about the “ cheap” upgrade. However, I’m sure I have seen D4 upgrades to near D5 levels. Thinking about it though there is a major difference in price between the T8 and T6., which a optimisation would cancel.
Cheers Bob

They used to do that exactly with the D3 and D4 5 cylinder.

The D3 + polestar had exactly the same output as the D4. Because it was the same engine. The polestar upgrade was cheaper than the difference between the D3 and D4, but the D4 was cheaper to insure....!
