another q on suspension
ive been told that as mine is a 99 v40 its on a change over year for suspension so i was wondering if anyone knows how i tell if i need the late spec or early spec front suspension as im determined to work out why mytrack rod ends knock against the chassis as i go over bumps and wondered if the owner before me fitted the wrong type.

Track rod ends ? Are you sure it is not the anti-roll bar mounts slipped out of their brackets on the front subframe? Not too easy to see but using a mirror will help .

its deff the antiroll bar link end that attached to the anti roll bar that knocks but its both sides its almost like the anti roll bar isnt long enough. |

No its not. The suspension was changed for all cars when the phase 2 came out. Thats why a phase 2 front bumper and wings wont fit a phase 1 car as the wheels will be in the wrong position.
